In 2008, Cathy joined Community Association Institute Heartland Chapter as the Chapter Executive Director. Since then, Cathy has won over 25 awards for the Heartland Chapter.

 In 2012 she was awarded the Chapter Executive Director Rising Star Award and in 2021 she was selected to be the Chapter Executive Director of the Year. Both awards were presented by Community Associations Institute Headquarters at their annual conference.

 Cathy specializes in communications and interpersonal skills with her members. In the sixteen years she has served the Heartland Chapter, she has helped grow the chapter membership by 200% and the chapter’s annual budget by 500%.
