Jaime Fraser Carr, Esq.
Jaime Fraser Carr joined Gateway City Law in July 2017. Jaime began practicing community association law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania in 2009 and has been active with the CAI since that time. She joined Nodiff & Billy, The Community Association Lawyers when she moved to St. Louis in March 2015. Jaime was recently admitted to and published in the Supreme Court of the United States for a CAI amicus brief on lien priority.
Jaime has provided comprehensive representation to condominium and homeowner associations, handling numerous collection cases, appeals, rule enforcement cases, construction defect litigation and general corporate matters. She has prepared governing documents, amendments, resolutions, violation notices, legal opinions, loan documents, incorporation documents, deeds, easements, and contracts for many community associations.
Jaime researched lien priority on a national level. She has prepared a number of amicus briefs for CAI in the Ninth Circuit, Nevada Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of the United States, battling lenders, government-sponsored entities, and the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s position on associations’ lien priority. Further, in January 2017, she presented at CAI’s National Law Seminar in Las Vegas on community association lien priority.
Jaime is admitted to practice law in Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She graduated from Rutgers School of Law – Camden in 2009 and from Rutgers University in 2006. While an undergraduate, Jaime played NCAA Division I Field Hockey for Rutgers on scholarship. Jaime has a friendly dog named Dakota (a labradoodle).
